Northern Distributor Road (NDR)CPRE Norfolk has consistently opposed the NDR because it opens up large areas of greenfield land for unsubstantiated growth. For similar reasons we object to the extension of the NDR from the Airport to the Fakenham Road. Following construction of the NDR, CPRE Norfolk has real concerns that the traffic generated on the western side of Norwich will have a serious detrimental effect on communities and compel the construction of a link road to the A47 which will cause further substantial environmental damage to the Wensum Valley (a European Special Area of Conservation). |
